Reading Specialist

1. What made you decide to be a teacher/work in education?

I have such fond memories of my elementary school teachers and experiences and knew that I wanted to impact students the way my previous teachers impacted me.

 2. Where did you graduate from/what has brought you to this point?

I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with degrees in Spanish/Bilingual Education. After college, my husband (who is also a teacher) and I found jobs here in Eagle County. We thought we would stay here for a couple years, gain some experience and then probably move back to the Front Range area where we both grew up. That was ten years ago and we have no plans of leaving anytime soon!

 3. How many years have you been teaching/working in education?

I have been teaching for 10 years.

 4. What do you like most about teaching/working in education?

I love helping students be successful and watching them meet their goals.  It is always so rewarding to see the progress students make over time. I also love the fact that teaching is challenging and I am always learning something new. No day is ever dull!
